Thank you to all my supporters!!

Yahoo!! I passed the $1500 mark and over half way towards my goal of raising $3000 for breast cancer research and awareness! There is no way this would be possible without the generosity of my wonderful family and friends. This has been an amazing experience and the walk itself is still 21 weeks away.

My DIY Bathroom

A couple of weeks ago, while Roger was out of town for a week, I decided it was time to redo our master bathroom. It was a lot of hard work but I did it all by myself!! It took every spare minute I had including the extra 14 hour gift I got when Roger missed his connection in Salt Lake City and had to spend the night.

Imagine his surprise when he came home to a bathroom with new paint on the vanity, ceiling, and walls, new tile around the countertop and backsplash, and new light fixtures and hardware. I must say that I am quite proud of myself and am looking forward to my next DIY project. Maybe a new deck!?!

$1125 raised so far!!

I am amazed every day at how generous people can be!! I have raised $1125 so far for the Breast Cancer 3-Day. Only $1875 to go before I reach my goal of raising $3000.

While fundraising has been going well, I've slacked off my training a little. Roger was out of town last week for business and fun so I decided to remodel our master bathroom. That counts for cross-training, right? I had hoped to pick it up a little this week while at the Oregon Coast but it's rained off and on so I haven't walked as much as I had hoped. Back to reality next week. Oh well!!
